After receiving a year of support from Childreach, Ronga School in the Moshi district of Tanzania moved from a rank of 131 to third best in the district. The school supports more than 250 students. Childreach funded essential repairs at the school, including classroom renovation and decoration. In addition, Childreach rebuilt the kitchen and toilet blocks and created a new office space for teachers. Students now have access to six hand-washing facilities outside of classrooms, and 30 volunteers help ensure individuals wash their hands before meals and after using sanitary facilities.
In addition to these supports, Childreach has operated some of its key programs at the school. These programs include My School, My Voice, which teaches students about their educational rights, and Fit for School, a hygiene program.
